No Metadata for photo or video files (across different file types) or folders

Amelia H
Drives that have been fully scanned and metadata assigned do not show metadata such as file size, resolution, dimensions, etc for images and video – regardless of file type (eg. happens with jpg, heic, mp4, mov, etc) and whether viewing in preview pane or going "get info".
I also expected to be able to see the size of folders (for example, in GB) within a drive, under "basic information" when clicking "get info" on a folder. This is a really important feature when managing multiple drives.
Cheers!

Heya Amelia! I suspect that your missing metadata issue is being caused by 'Sleep Mode' which is when DriveVault goes to sleep to reduce CPU usage when you come away from the app. We introduced this featured in V1.2.3, and of course put in safety measures so that sleep mode wouldn't affect scanning, but the metadata assigning (the last part of the scan) happens on a background thread, which we missed, so DriveVault was in fact falling asleep during this part of the scan - sorry about that! We fixed this in V1.2.4 which came out yesterday. So I suspect you just need to update the app, and rescan your drive and it will have all metadata assigned - sorry about that, but all fixed now!
We have also just pushed out a new fix today (v1.2.5) which addresses your other issue to do with file and folder sizes. This was a little more complicated, but you should now see all of your file sizes and folder sizes - if you don't then please try forgetting the drive (click "i" next to the drive in the drive library and click "Forget Drive"), and rescanning it.
V1.2.5 should be out later today - just waiting for Apple to approve the build :)
